Internationally acclaimed vocal instructor César Ulloa is Chair of the Voice Department at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he has been on the voice faculty since 2006. For the past sixteen years he has been the master teacher for the renowned San Francisco Opera’s Adler Fellowship Progrem and the Merola Opera Program.
In 2017 Mr. Ulloa was invited by Dame Kari Te Kanawa to be the principal vocal tutor for the New Zealand Opera School. He has given master classes in China, Israel, Italy, Mexico and Canada. His students appear virtually in every major young artist program in the US and Europe and have been First Prize winners in countless international vocal competitions.
After an international opera and concert career that lasted over fifteen years, his singing career brought him to the NY City Opera, MET Opera, Washington Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Cleveland Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Boston Symphony performing under the baton of such prominent conductors as Zubin Mehta, Nicola Rescigno, Leonard Slaking, Seiji Ozawa, Richard Bonynge and Eduardo Müller.
