Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 OSM Competition

First Prize

GABRIELLE TURGEON

Barbara Bronfman Prize - $20,000 Scholarship

The OSM Competition First Prize is named in memory of Barbara Bronfman – a lover of music and dear patron of the OSM. Thanks to her legacy gift, generations of talented young musicians will be supported in the launch of their careers and provided with the opportunity to perform with the OSM for the first time.

OSM Invitation Prize

Offered by Canimex, invitations to perform in the OSM season: recitals, chamber music, or other engagements.

Michèle-Paré Prize

A residency at Orford Musique, during which the laureate will develop a community engagement project and receive mentorship to support and guide their efforts.

Chapelle Musicale Reine Élisabeth Prize (Belgium)

A residency at La Chapelle during the 2026-2027 season.

Second Prize

BRIDGET ESLER

$12,000 Scholarship

This scholarship is offered in collaboration with the Marjorie and Gerald Bronfman Fund and the Lambert-Fortier-Gagnon Estate.

Third Prize

KORIN THOMAS-SMITH

$7,500 Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the Paul-A. Fournier Fund.

Distinction Prizes and Scholarships

Ann Birks Career Scholarship - 25 000 $

This scholarship aims to support the career launch of the three prize winners beyond the Competition by offering performance opportunities with the OSM, scholarships for programs in Canada and abroad, and personalized professional coaching.

The Fonds Les Amis de l’Art is offering a $2,500 prize to the performer who receives the most online votes from young audiences.

Stingray is offering a $2,500 prize to the performer who receives the most online votes.

Francis Poulenc Academy Prize

JUSTINE LEDOUX

In partnership with the Francis Poulenc Academy, one semifinalist of the 2025 OSM Competition will be invited to take part in an intensive program dedicated to French mélodie, held in Tours, France, from August 18 to 28, 2025.

This prize, offered for a singer–pianist duo, includes transportation, accommodation, and participation fees for this unique artistic experience.
