About Korin Thomas-Smith

Named one of CBC Music’s “30 hot classical musicians under 30” in 2021, Canadian baritone Korin Thomas-Smith has been carving out a place for himself on the North American music scene.  

The 2025–2026 season sees Korin making his Santa Fe Opera debut as an Apprentice Artist, performing as Schaunard (La Bohème) and Count Ceprano (Rigoletto). After completing the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio program, Korin returns to the COC to perform as Mercutio in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette. Notable roles include Doctor Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Argante (Rinaldo), and Wagner (Faust). Korin is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Toronto.
