After obtaining two college diplomas in 2019 in Pure Sciences at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent and Flute Performance at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, Florence Laurain is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the latter institution with Marie-Andrée Benny. Florence has played in many orchestras, such as the National Youth Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Francophonie, the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and the Orchestre des jeunes de Montréal. She has won several awards and scholarships, including an Excellence award from the Conservatoire and another from the Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ) enabling her to exchange with flute teachers in Europe such as Philippe Bernold and Jacques Zoon. She also performed as a soloist in a concerto with her high school orchestra and participated in the TV show « Virtuose 2».
