Kaïla Stephanos
Kaïla Stephanos completed her bachelor’s degree in flute at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under the guidance of Denis Bluteau in April 2024. She has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Yannick Nézet-Seguin Prize in the Winds category at the 2019 OMNI Music Competition. In 2022, she was a finalist in the Concours de musique de la Capitale, where she won second prize. That same year, she received the Youkali Special Prize at the Pentaèdre-Youkali Competition, which included a bursary from the Youkali Foundation and a professional engagement.
Regular attendees of the Orchestre Métropolitain may recall hearing Kaïla Stephanos perform Reinecke’s Ballade in April 2019, as a prelude to the concert “Music at the Movies: Génial!” accompanied by pianist Romain Pollet. Additionally, in 2021, she performed Vivaldi’s La Notte with the Orchestre Métropolitain during the concert “The OM is Buzzing: Génial!”.
Kaïla Stephanos began her master’s studies in Europe in the fall of 2024.
