After beginning trombone studies at Joseph-François Perrault school, Léonard Pineault Deault entered the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in 2014. He was rapidly noticed and recruited as a soloist with the Orchestre Métropolitain in 2016 and the Conservatoire’s string ensemble in 2017. This young musician has also performed in many different orchestras, such as the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Orchestre symphonique de la Côte Nord, Orchestre de la Francophonie, and Orchestre philharmonique du Choeur des Mélomanes.

Léonard Pineault Deault also won the Conservatoire’s 2019 Concerto Competition and will perform Henri Tomasi’s Trombone Concerto in the course of the orchestra’s next season.
